Long-lasting anaesthetic for infiltration and nerve blockade anaesthesia.

POTENCY
Articaine is 1.5 times more potent than lidocaine.

Indications

Local anaesthesia (by infiltration and nerve block) in dentistry, during complicated procedures that require prolonged anaesthesia.

Composition

Articaine HCl 4% + Epinephrine 1:200,000
Each ml contains:

  • Articaine hydrochloride 40.00 mg
  • Epinephrine tartrate 0.009 mg (equivalent to 0.005 mg epinephrine base)

Presentation

Boxes of 50 or 100 cartridges of 1.8 ml (subject to market availability), with transparent blisters of 10 cartridges each.

Uses

Infiltration and perineural use in the oral cavity. For use in dental anaesthesia only.
Injections must always be administered slowly and with prior aspiration in at least two planes (by rotation of the needle by 180º) to prevent accidental intravascular injection.
Each cartridge is for single use only.
