With an investment of 10 million EUR, this new extension allows Inibsa to increase its capacity by 37.5%, manufacturing up to 300 million cartridges yearly. The new filling line has required a new sterile area to be built, fitted with a new optical inspection machine and a labelling machine. This capacity extension process will be completed next year with the addition of two new packaging machines.

This project is part of the company’s dental anaesthetics specialisation plan, which was set in motion 5 years ago. During this time, Inibsa has invested more than 19 million EUR, extended the facilities in 2015, purchased a new anaesthetic production line in 2016, and refurbished the Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Development and Physical and Chemical laboratories in the years 2017-2018, obtaining as a result state-of-the-art premises and top-of-the-line technology for the manufacture of dental anaesthetics.

According to Inibsa’s general manager, Eduard López, “part of the plans we drew up years ago, when we set ourselves the goal of becoming the leading dental anaesthetics specialist, are now coming together. We know that there are still things to be done, but we believe in this project, our track record speaks for us, and, looking forward, data are encouraging”. López points out that every step Inibsa has taken in this direction is aimed at “standing by dental practitioners, offering them the quality and safety they need from the outset for any dental treatment, so that they can practise 21st century dentistry normally. This is what drives us every day”.

Inibsa has been on the market for over 70 years and linked to the world of pain control for 50 years. Thanks to being specialists in this industry, the Inibsa dental anaesthetics are present in more than 50 countries worldwide.
